Have you been to a party lately, or even a movie? If not, don’t you think it’s time for some fun. All work and no play makes us very boring people. Leave the work at home. So get out and see the world. Don’t know where to start? Check the movie listings. Check your local event listings. Maybe there is a fundraiser you could attend, or take a vacation. If all else fails, have a nice dinner at your favorite restaurant. That always work for me.
I’ve heard people say that getting out and having fun is such a hassle, because of the crowds. Many people don’t like big crowds and they actually find that pretty frustrating, which turns into not having fun. I mean, you can’t have fun if you are frustrated or grumpy- right? There is help. I’ve located 5 tips for having fun, despite the crowds. 🙂
Tip #1: Think like a crowd – Don’t be surprised. Expect crowds any time you are going to an event, theme park, movies, etc… (you get the idea) Focus on the event, and not how crowded it is.
Tip #2: Make a plan – Learn everything you need to know about the destination or event before you get there. You don’t want any unpleasant surprises. Check your destination routes, parking, transportation services. Planning ahead for these things will save you a lot of headaches and time.
Tip #3: Change your attitude – Make the best out of a crowded situation. Try not to get frustrated, remain calm, and continue to focus on the event and have fun. So in other words, lighten up- take it easy and Don’t think about work.
Tip #4: Be Flexible – You may need to make adjustments. If you know your destination is busy during a certain time of the year, change your vacation to a time of the year when it is not so busy. Maybe once you arrive, you learn new things and plans just need to be adjusted. Find an attraction nearby you can visit, that is less crowded. You can find nearby attractions with cool apps such as “AroundMe” or “Wikihood”. So make sure you have downloaded some of these apps, they can be your back up planner.
Tip #5: Have Fun – You know what to do. Don’t let heavy crowds or your busy life keep you from having fun and making good memories.
